Scratch the surface

I think someone should invent a cable that goes from your brain to your blog... it's always when I'm trying to go to sleep that I think of things I wouldn't mind sharing with you here on our blog. But I'm not going to get out of bed... and by the time morning comes there are so many "practical" things to do that there's no time for all this reflective stuff...

Prayer for our friend

Back when Jack and Luke were born and all the time Luke was in hospital, our friend Lisa Hernández helped us by mobilising people to pray for us through a prayer group on Facebook and she also translated a lot of Darren's posts to Spanish and some of mine to English.

Hi all!
Thanks for your prayers and for the emails you sent back those of you who had time.
Well I went to the doctors, got the CT scan and they found 5 more nodules in both lungs this time.
The next step are skin tests for tuberculosis. If the first one is negative they will repeat to make sure. If it is positive I'm not really sure what they will do. The nodules can be caused by TB or lead to TB and permanent scarring of the lung tissue. They can also be caused by rheumatoid arthritis. If the tests come out negative, they will procede with a high dose of cortisteroids and they will repeat the CT scan 2 weeks later. They will also start meds for arthritis, some biological ones that are a bit more aggresive and show results sooner. The treatment is by IV for 3 hours, hospital overnight every 2 weeks, and if it makes everything improve they will lower the frequency.
It's a lot to absorbe, I don't understand it all, but I will be going back tomorrow for the first TB tests.
So as you can guess I am begging for prayers here!! I need 'em! Go crazy and be creative, but here are a couple that come to mind.
1-Wisdom- to know who to listen to, decisions to make. For me and the doctors. God direct this whole situation. My main doctor is going on vacation all of september, so that freaks me out, he is leaving me with my rheumatologist, and I'm not a huge fan and she is going on vacation half of september. So no false or precipitated moves or decisions.
2-That I continue to trust and not freak (so far am doing pretty well, thanks to God's grace, love and your prayers!) That I not be dominated by fears or lies of the enemy.
3-God use this 100% for his glory and purposes and that I not stand in the way.
4-That I not do this in my strength, cause I tend to pull in all my strength and build a wall around me to take me through circumstances. Not to good at being jello and God doing it all and that all strength come from Him.
