Sharing the thoughts and news of the life of the Kilfords

Oh my goodness, I can't believe it has been well over a month since our last post!!
We have been very busy since we got back into "normal life", maybe that can serve as an excuse...?
La Industria
We are excited and very busy with work at the discipleship and art program. We are at the beginning stages so we are up to our necks in creating shows to take to schools and churches. We are touched and challenged by the students hunger for more of God and we pray that what we offer them in the program is used by God for his purposes in them.

Darren's mum continues to show strength and hope in the midst of her difficult illness, and she and Luke enjoy daily video talks through Skype. Darren will be visiting her very soon for her 50th birthday, and then we will all be with her through Christmas and into the New Year. We will be staying for a week in January as her husband Les will have to travel for work.
Luke's birthday!!!
We are counting the days to Luke's first birthday (on Saturday 21 Nov). We are so thankful and overjoyed at how beautifully he is growing, developing, and responding to treatment. It is a true miracle, God is great! He will be 12 months in "chronological age", 9 months in "corrected age" (how old he should be), but we see him as a 6-7 month old baby - it appears he is slightly more advanced in his cognitive skills than motor, as his high tone makes progress difficult and slow.

Memories...
So as the autumn leaves fall and the rain pours down we have been remembering the day I was admitted into hospital and how our worst nightmare started to unveil before our eyes... But from the start we knew so many of you were with us, praying for us, and crying with us... we've felt your love and we so sincerely thank you! Thanks for walking this journey with us and let us praise God together for his miracle in Luke! There are so many things we don't understand, yet we know one thing is true: God is God!
Have a great end of the week and a great weekend!
